Creavit Studio 3.8.3 — Release Notes

Give captions a Liquid glass finish, tilt your recording into a new perspective, and move through your timeline more smoothly. Version 3.8.3 adds a caption style gallery, dedicated Layout settings, a refreshed Settings window and control over automatic zoom creation, alongside improvements to cursor motion, camera placement and Liquid effects.

💬 Liquid subtitles & a new style gallery

• Liquid is the default style for new subtitles: a tinted glass caption box with word-by-word entrance animation. Choose it from Subtitles → Style, or use Liquid glass to enable the glass background with your own styling.
• Adjust the glass tint with the background color and opacity controls, alongside text color, typography, outline, corner radius and spacing.
• The new word-stream entrance brings words in progressively and moves earlier words into place as the caption grows.
• Captions now draw above the camera, Liquid Zoom and other visual layers, keeping the text visible throughout the composition.

• Explore 24 additional caption looks, including Clean highlight, Serif mix, Karaoke fill, Word box, Neon, Typewriter, Highlighter and Kinetic stack. The original Clean, Minimal, Editorial and Social styles remain available alongside Liquid.
• Preview styles directly in their animated cards, and filter the gallery with All, Instagram, CapCut and Creator categories.
• Caption looks combine their own word timing, emphasis and decorations. The selected look and Liquid glass setting are saved with the project; older projects keep their existing non-glass subtitle appearance.

📐 Dedicated Layout settings & Tilt layouts

• Screen and camera layouts now have their own Layout tab, separate from Camera settings. Fill empty space sits above the layout cards so you can choose the framing before picking a layout.
• Add Tilt Left or Tilt Right to turn the screen recording in 3D over a blurred copy of the video. These layouts also work without a camera recording.
• Tilt uses the video's existing placement and framing, while the camera keeps its own placement. Adjacent tilt segments transition directly between angles.
• Tilt segments at the beginning or end of the video keep their blurred backdrop at that edge, and the final frame retains its layout when playback stops.
• Settings tabs and editor controls have refreshed icons. Tab shortcuts now use ⌘3 for Layout, ⌘4 for Camera, ⌘5 for Motions, ⌘6 for Perspective and ⌘7 for Subtitles.

🎞️ Smoother timeline navigation & clip placement

• Pinch or Command + scroll to zoom around the pointer. Horizontal trackpad gestures scroll the timeline naturally, while vertical scrolling moves along the timeline with a smoother response.
• Use + / = to zoom in, − to zoom out and \ to fit the timeline. Button and keyboard zooms keep the visible playhead in place, or use the center of the view when it is off screen.
• The ruler adapts its labels and ticks to the zoom level. Automatic fitting follows changes in the available timeline space with a smooth transition.
• Dragging a clip shows its destination, with earlier reorder feedback as the clip enters a neighbor. Dropping onto another clip can place it in the nearest available space beside that clip.
• Snapping holds more steadily near clip edges. Hold Option to temporarily bypass snapping for precise placement; edge scrolling and drag/trim updates have also been refined.

🖱️ More natural cursor motion

• The recorded cursor eases into a smaller pressed state before a click, stays pressed while the button is held and settles back after release.
• Idle hiding and revealing combine scale, opacity and blur in a smoother transition, with the reveal beginning ahead of movement.
• Motion blur follows the cursor's sampled path, including curves and changes in speed, while limiting the blur length to keep the pointer readable.
• During playback, cursor movement can update between presented video frames for a smoother preview. Cached cursor drawing also reduces repeated work when rendering motion blur.

⚙️ A refreshed Settings window

• Settings has a refreshed macOS-style sidebar, colored category icons and Search. Find preferences across General, Recording, Editor, Shortcuts, Storage, Upload, License and Updates.
• Recording preferences bring countdown, frame rate, capture quality, recording border and after-recording behavior into clearer groups, with a separate overview of macOS permissions.

• Editor defaults now have a clearer framing preview for Studio, Clean and Edge to edge, with padding, corner radius and shadow controls. Choose a horizontal tab bar or a vertical labelled rail for editor settings.
• License settings have a revised status and activation layout. Pasted license keys are cleaned and formatted, and complete keys receive a visual indicator before activation.
• Per-section Restore Defaults and automatic saving are easier to find in the new layout.

🔍 Choose whether recordings create Auto Zoom

• Open Record options → Recorder → Create Auto Zoom to choose whether new recordings open with automatically generated zoom segments. It starts enabled, and your choice is remembered across app launches.
• Turn it off to start new recordings with an empty zoom track. When automatic zoom is used, its focus begins earlier before the click so the click happens inside the zoom.

📷 Camera placement & Liquid refinements

• Fixed the camera shifting downward when reopening a project as the video size and canvas framing finish loading. Saved camera positions now restore using their original canvas dimensions, with handling for older projects too.
• Auto aspect framing now accounts for padding and the applied crop, avoiding uneven extra space around the video.
• Pop out borders stay behind the person instead of crossing their head. Liquid Cutout backgrounds, borders and shadows follow the same moving card edge, with refinements around the transition from the card to the person above it.
• Liquid edges have smoother rounded corners and fewer sharp pinches. Camera Liquid defaults have been retuned, and changing the camera aspect ratio resets the effect's motion so it settles into the new shape immediately.

Creavit Studio 3.8.2 — Release Notes

Let your camera step outside the frame, give your recording a Liquid glass edge, and keep cursor-following zooms moving smoothly. Version 3.8.2 brings Pop out for Camera Cutout, Liquid effects for the main video, more flexible camera layouts and a floating recorder camera preview, alongside fixes for Cutout frame alignment, recording lip sync and the export panel.

✂️ Camera Cutout & Pop out

• Turn on Pop out under Camera → Effects → Cutout → Background to let your head extend above the camera's background card. It works with Color, Image and Original backgrounds; choose a background other than Transparent to use it.
• Roundness, borders and shadows follow the background card while the person remains visible above it. Pop out adapts to portrait camera shapes, and rounded card corners no longer cut into the person at the top edge.
• Camera shadows can be adjusted again while Pop out is active with a visible background. Preview and export use the same Pop out composition.
• On supported Macs, Cutout now uses Apple Vision to prepare person masks locally, with refined edges and filtering between frames. The existing model-based path remains available if the native engine cannot load.
• Changing the Cutout background type, color or image reuses the prepared masks. Appearance changes no longer restart background removal preparation.
• Fixed Cutout masks falling out of step with the camera during playback and timeline hover previews. Masks follow the frame being drawn; when a mask is still loading, the renderer retains a matched camera-and-mask frame.
• Cutout preparation now shows Removing background and its progress over the camera instead of blocking the editor with a full-screen dialog.

💧 Liquid for your main video

• Enable Liquid in the Background settings to apply glass edge refraction and fluid motion to the main recording, alongside the existing Liquid Camera and Liquid Zoom effects.
• Adjust Edge width, Refraction, Chromatic aberration, Ripple, Turbulence and Glass shine, or reset the advanced controls together.
• Liquid video settings are stored with the video appearance settings used by projects, presets and steps. The effect is not applied while a device mockup or video mask is active.
• Liquid Zoom and Liquid Camera have revised glass reflections, edge refraction and color separation. Turbulence uses slower, broader movement and can turn a rounded rectangular surface into a softer, droplet-like shape.
• Newly selected Liquid Zooms start with a subtle 18% CRT effect and fine 600 pixel density when those values have not already been set. Existing settings, including a CRT value of zero, are preserved.

📐 Camera layouts that are easier to adjust

• Click the active camera layout card again to remove that layout segment. Choosing a different card still updates the segment at the playhead.
• Overlay layouts support the Position pad, with the camera position stored for that segment. Changes to its position and size update the canvas while the playhead remains inside the layout.
• Position controls are hidden for full-camera, split, stacked and Fill layouts where placement is defined by the layout itself.
• Fill empty space has a clearer explanation, and the layout picker opens expanded. When a layout cannot be added at the timeline end, in a gap or in an occupied interval, a short notice explains where to move the playhead.
• Camera Effects opens automatically when Cutout or Liquid is in use. Collapsing it leaves compact Cutout and Liquid buttons with active indicators.

🖱️ Smoother cursor-following zooms

• Cursor-following zooms use a revised spring and focus calculation for smoother panning and steadier framing around the cursor.
• Follow-zoom motion blur now tracks the direction and speed of the actual pan, including diagonal movement. Small framing corrections stay clear.
• Moving Liquid Zoom lenses also apply motion blur to their content, with the cursor drawn afterward to keep it readable.
• Cursor position smoothing has been updated for motion presets and custom settings, including click and drag handling. Cursor tilt, blur and click effects continue to work with the smoothed path.

📷 A floating camera preview while recording

• With a camera selected, the recorder shows a separate floating camera preview so you can check your framing before and during recording.
• Drag the preview between displays and resize it from any corner while keeping its square shape. Its position and size are remembered during the current app session.
• Right-click and choose Close to dismiss it until the recorder reopens. The preview also closes when the camera is disabled, the recorder is hidden or the editor opens.
• The preview window uses macOS content protection to keep the framing aid out of screen recordings.

🎙️ Recording audio & camera sync

• Fixed recording start alignment across the screen, camera, microphone and system audio using a shared starting point.
• Sources that start later retain their delay through an initial held video frame or silent audio, reducing camera lip-sync errors caused by tracks being shifted to the start of the recording.

📤 Export panel fix

• Fixed export settings falling into a single column in the packaged app. Format, frame rate, output size and file settings keep their two-column layout.

Creavit Studio 3.8.1 — Release Notes

Glass lenses, more flexible camera editing and an AI agent that runs on your Mac. Version 3.8.1 adds Liquid Zoom, Liquid Camera, timed camera cutouts, local Ollama models, a redesigned recorder and a broader set of Motion Studio design tools, alongside improvements to timeline editing, project saving and iPhone recording.

🔍 Liquid Zoom

• Choose Standard Zoom for the full canvas or Liquid Zoom for a circular glass lens that magnifies one area while the surrounding canvas stays at its normal size.
• Adjust Lens size, zoom level and an optional CRT effect, with its own pixel density control. Set CRT to zero for a clear lens.
• Fine-tune Edge width, Refraction, Chromatic aberration, Ripple, Turbulence and Glass shine in Liquid advanced, or reset them together.
• The lens reveals and conceals around its center, with movement that stretches and settles as it travels. Refraction bends the image near the glass edge.
• Connected Liquid Zoom segments blend their lens size, CRT and glass settings instead of switching abruptly. Cursor and click ripple rendering also work inside the lens.
• Apply to all now copies the zoom style, zoom level, transition settings and Liquid lens settings to every zoom segment.

🫧 Liquid Camera

• Enable Liquid under camera Effects to give the camera overlay a glass edge and a soft stretch-and-settle motion as it moves.
• Camera Liquid has the same six advanced glass controls as Liquid Zoom, including a turbulence control for a moving edge.
• The effect follows the camera's shape and roundness, and its animated content mask preserves the camera shadow.
• Liquid is off by default; turn it on for the camera look you want.

✂️ Camera Cutout, only where you need it

• Camera background removal is now presented as Cutout, with a dedicated timeline track. Apply it to selected parts of the recording.
• Add a part at the playhead from the camera settings or click an empty area of the Cutout track. Drag, resize, select multiple parts or delete them on the timeline.
• Choose Transparent, Color, Original or Image backgrounds from cards that preview your camera image. Pick a color or upload a replacement background image.
• Cutout starts with the Best quality and Detail model, with a fallback when that model cannot load. Quality and model choices no longer crowd the panel.
• Preview preparation and export use the Cutout intervals and map them to the camera's source time, including edited clips. Export masks use the actual camera frame being rendered.
• Cutout parts are saved with the project and participate in undo and redo. Older projects with background removal enabled retain a full-duration cutout.

📐 Camera layouts and placement

• Camera layout cards have clearer labels and previews, plus a Fill switch for layouts without gaps.
• Picking another layout while the playhead is inside a camera layout updates that segment immediately and keeps its timing.
• New camera layouts fill the available interval within the current video clip, bounded by neighboring layouts. Device mockup insertion keeps its separate short-segment behavior.
• Layout segments store their own camera appearance. Adjusting the active layout's camera no longer has to change its appearance throughout the project.
• Fill and full-camera layouts remove unwanted roundness and shadows; turning Fill off restores the earlier roundness and shadow settings.
• A Position pad lets you move the camera with a live canvas preview. The crop preview, visible-area zoom and border controls are grouped under Advanced camera settings.
• Standard zoom works again with a stationary camera layout. Camera corners keep their proportions during zoom, and layout size changes respect the active camera settings.

🎛️ A redesigned recorder

• Screen, window, area and iPhone sources share one illustrated source menu; camera and microphone controls also have new device artwork and clearer selected states.
• The recorder remembers the last source type you successfully recorded. If an iPhone source is unavailable when restored, it falls back to screen recording.
• Microphone and System Audio switches now live together in the microphone menu, alongside device selection.
• Microphone input has an animated, sound-responsive indicator around its control, with the compact level meter retained in the collapsed recorder.
• Record options sit beside the Record button in a split control, with more consistent menu opening and closing behavior.
• Source changes animate smoothly, and the recorder adjusts its width to the controls. Fixed the expanded notch gradually growing wider by itself.

📱 More reliable iPhone recording

• iPhone clip duration is based on the video track, so a longer audio track no longer leaves the editor playing past the captured picture.
• Startup timing uses the first iPhone video frame. An optional camera warms up before recording begins, improving the alignment of the recording timer, camera and microphone.
• Stopping waits for delayed USB video frames to reach the requested stop time before finalizing the movie.
• If the iPhone stops sending video or cannot reach the requested stop time, the captured portion is saved and the app shows an interruption warning.

🤖 Local AI with Ollama

• Choose Local AI in the Agent panel to use an Ollama model running on your Mac. Install and open Ollama, then download or choose a supported local model.
• The model panel shows download size, memory requirements, available disk space and a recommendation for your Mac, with download progress and cancellation.
• Local models with tool-calling support can inspect and edit the open project: change editor settings and backgrounds, manage zooms and sensitive areas, seek the timeline, and work with Motion Studio elements and animations.
• Local inference connects to Ollama on this Mac. Model downloads need an internet connection; screenshot tools are offered to vision-capable models.
• Model selection is clearer, and the Codex model list can use the installed CLI's local model catalog. Local model memory is released after the active conversations finish.

💬 More expressive Motion Studio text

• Text supports multiline content, vertical alignment, line height, letter spacing, uppercase/lowercase conversion and a wider font-size range.
• Choose Auto W (fluid width), Auto H (fluid height) or Fixed for text boxes. Automatic sizing responds to content and font changes while preserving alignment.
• Animate by Letters, Words, Lines or the entire Layer, with per-animation delay, order and smoothing controls.
• Text presets include Appear, directional Slide and Mask, Grow, Shrink, Blur, and Blur & Slide, with matching exit treatments.
• Custom text animations add Change Text, Letter Spacing, Line Height and Counter, including number formatting options.
• The easing menu adds Smooth, Natural, Slow down, Accelerate, Elastic, Bounce, Overshoot, Impulse and Swing curves.

🎨 More Motion Studio design tools

• Draw open paths and closed shapes with Pen. Hold Shift to snap direction; click the first point to close a shape, or finish an open path with Enter or a double-click.
• Add Star shapes and adjust their spikes and thickness; star geometry can also be animated. Ellipses gain Donut, Sweep and Start controls for rings and arcs.
• More shapes support gradient fills. Text, shapes and groups gain shared style controls for strokes, shadows, layer blur and background blur.
• Place strokes Inside, Center or Outside on supported shapes, and adjust shadow color, offset, blur and opacity.
• Layer Glass controls adjust refraction, depth, dispersion, frost and lighting using the content behind the layer. Choose layer blend modes such as Multiply, Screen and Overlay.
• Groups support Clip content to keep their children inside the group shape. Shared multi-selection controls make it easier to style several layers.
• An eyedropper, editable hex values and opacity controls improve color editing.
• Scene formats now include video, social and device sizes. Custom scene dimensions can go down to 100 px, and canvas view zoom ranges from 5% to 3200%.

🧩 A better Motion Studio workflow

• Create reusable components, create linked instances, and detach an instance when it needs to become independent. Master edits update the linked instances within the scene.
• Add local comments pinned to the canvas to keep notes with the scene.
• The canvas context menu includes Paste and replace, Copy as PNG, Copy as CSS, arrangement, grouping, renaming and component actions.
• Keyboard controls support layer nudging, sibling selection and navigation into and out of groups.
• Search the Layers panel, see the layer count and add layers directly from its menu. The Design, Animate and Saved panels have a clearer layout.
• The Animate panel lists the selected layer's animations with their timing, selection and removal controls.
• Number fields support drag adjustment, arrow-key stepping and expressions such as `100*2`, `+20` and `/2`. A drag or continuous color change becomes one undo step.
• Copy and paste preserve group references, target the selected layers more reliably and replay copied animation sequences independently. Rapid copy-then-paste no longer races the clipboard write.
• Motion import and HTML export handle more of the new text, shape, clipping and style settings. Complex repeat, distortion and blur effects do less redundant rendering work.
• The Motion Studio header shows the project name and provides a direct route back to the video editor.

🧭 More predictable timeline and zoom editing

• The timeline follows the pointer at its edge while dragging or resizing, including when several selected items move together.
• Extra timeline space opens during edge dragging. Ordinary scrolling no longer keeps extending empty space; unused extra space shrinks away as you scroll back.
• Editing keeps the current timeline zoom and positioning more stable. The ruler remains visible and seekable when the track area is collapsed.
• Cut points between adjacent clips have scissors markers and a small visual separation that leaves their timing unchanged.
• Duplicate on a zoom puts the copy immediately after its source, preserving the duration when possible and shortening it to fit the available gap and source clip.
• Zoom and title segments can settle next to a nearby segment when a small overlap occurs during dragging.
• Duplicated 3D animation segments restart their own motion instead of inheriting the source segment's final pose.
• Set zoom Entry duration and Exit duration independently. Manual zoom Motion now travels from Start to Target over the full segment, with smoother handoffs between connected segments.
• Zoom timeline labels distinguish Liquid, Static and Motion. Position pads also keep off-canvas Start and Target handles visible.
• Timeline duration includes the later ends of shortcut, sensitive-area, Cutout, Motion and manual-cursor tracks.

⌨️ Clearer shortcut overlays

• The new Keyboard theme draws physical-style keycaps with modifier names. It is the default theme at 140% size; Light, Dark and Black remain available in the same theme row.
• Hover the selected shortcut preview and choose Change shortcut to capture a replacement. Escape cancels without changing the segment.
• Changing a shortcut refreshes the overlay and timeline selection immediately.
• Shortcut segments, appearance settings, track visibility and recorded keyboard data are preserved when saving and reopening a project.

🖱️ A cleaner click ripple

• The click Ripple effect has a softer, more natural displacement profile.
• Fixed color-channel handling and rendering artifacts, and improved repeated ripple animation.
• Ripple stays visible when the Liquid Zoom lens redraws the video underneath.

☁️ A narrower Google Drive connection

• Exports always go to the app-created Creavit Studio folder in My Drive. The Base Drive library lists files from that folder.
• The connection no longer requests metadata access across your Drive. File details, thumbnails and opening actions are restricted to the app folder.
• Existing connections using the earlier permissions need to reconnect to use the narrower access. Choosing an arbitrary upload folder is no longer part of the workflow.

💾 Project, export and reliability improvements

• Project saves now retain sensitive-area segments and settings, alongside the new camera Cutout data and repaired shortcut persistence.
• The Export window has a more compact layout, a frame-rate dropdown and an Export to control beside the export actions.
• Camera Cutout masks stay aligned with the rendered camera frames during export, including at edited timeline boundaries.
• Setting the background CRT intensity to zero now fully disables its pixel grid and distortion as well.
• Packaged app integrity checks have been strengthened as part of the licensing protection.

Creavit Studio 3.8.0 — Release Notes

Real devices, vertical layouts and a quieter recorder. Version 3.8.0 introduces 3D MacBook and Studio Display mockups, stacked camera layouts for 9:16 video, cleaner camera background removal, subtitle fonts, colored library folders, a guided permissions step in setup and new Motion Studio animations.

💻 Put your recording on a real 3D device

The layout picker now includes 3D device mockups. Each is a real 3D model with perspective and studio lighting, and your recording plays live on its display.

• MacBook Pro 16″ in Silver or Space Black.
• MacBook Air 13″ in Midnight, Silver, Sky Blue or Starlight.
• Studio Display 27″ in Silver or a custom Dark finish.
• Each finish appears as its own preset with a rendered preview, a finish color dot and a 3D badge.
• Window recordings sit cleanly inside the screen: the rounded corners macOS bakes into window captures are detected and clipped away.

📱 Layouts made for vertical video

Two new layouts stack the camera and the screen for 9:16 Reels, Shorts and TikTok videos:

• Camera Top + Screen — camera above, screen below.
• Screen + Camera Bottom — screen above, camera below.

The screen fits the full width and the camera fills the remaining space.

Camera placement is also more predictable:

• Changing the canvas aspect ratio (for example 16:9 → 9:16) keeps the camera where you placed it. A camera anchored to an edge keeps its margin, and a centered camera stays centered.
• Layouts adapt to a new canvas size immediately, even while playback is paused.
• The camera no longer jumps when a layout segment ends or while a zoom is active.
• While a layout controls the camera, clicking it selects the camera and opens its settings without moving it.
• Larger camera shadows are no longer cut off at the edges.

🧍 Cleaner camera background removal

• The camera image keeps its aspect ratio instead of being squeezed into a small square, so people are detected in more detail.
• Hair and soft edges keep their natural transparency instead of being cut into a hard mask.
• Background objects that are not connected to you, such as shelves or lamps, are removed from the result.
• The fallback segmentation model now uses its higher-quality general mode.

💬 Subtitles in your own style

• Choose a subtitle Font from the same font library used in Motion Studio. Fonts are loaded before preview and export.
• Text size now goes up to 256 px and outline weight up to 80 px.
• The selected font is saved with the project.

🎛️ A quieter recorder

• The floating toolbar is more compact. Control labels are replaced by a single tooltip that glides between controls as you hover.
• Camera, microphone and Options menus open on click and stay open until you click again, click outside, press Escape or choose an action. Submenus such as the timer and recent files still open on hover.
• New display and window source icons, and the close button now sits on the far left.
• In Dark mode, the ready, countdown, recording and Preparing states share one deeper background, and the recorder has a soft shadow.

🚀 A guided first launch

• Setup now starts with permissions. Screen Recording, Accessibility, Camera and Microphone each have their own Allow button and live status. The wizard checks again when you return from System Settings.
• Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in the same step before continuing.
• The Base library opens once setup is complete, including when the app is reopened from the Dock. Returning users keep the fast launch.

🗂️ Colored folders in Base

• Projects in the library are now folders. Choose from ten colors when you create a folder.
• Rename a folder or change its color later from Folder settings.
• Deleting a folder still keeps its recordings in All projects.

🎬 New Motion Studio animations

• The animation picker has curated preset groups: Essentials, Text reveals, Gentle exits, Text exits and Draw attention.
• Draw attention adds Pulse, Float, Sway and Shake gestures. They return to rest, so you can place them anywhere on the timeline.
• Search animations, preview presets and choose a speed: Slow, Natural or Quick.
• Animate text as a whole, by word or by letter, choose the order and set the delay between units.

🔔 See what's new before updating

When an update is available, the update card in the sidebar shows a What's new link. It opens the release notes inside the app, so you can see what changes before you install.

🔐 More reliable licensing

• License activation, validation and export credit responses are now signed by the server and verified by the app.
• A verified license keeps exports available offline for up to 24 hours.
• The export button shows Checking access… while verification is in progress. If the check cannot complete, you are asked to reconnect instead of being sent to the license window.
• Exporting Motion Studio Pro templates requires an active license.

✨ A more consistent workspace

• The Dark editor and Base use a deeper background that matches the recorder, and the timeline card follows the same tone.
• The canvas is centered in the editor window instead of only in the workspace beside the settings panel.
• Transparent backgrounds now show the editor background directly behind the canvas instead of a checkerboard. Exports keep their transparency.
• Gradient direction and color stop controls have been refreshed.
• Master volume and mute are saved with the project.
• Clip thumbnails dim while editing audio so the waveform stays readable.
• The export window layout has been tidied.

🐛 Reliability fixes

• The click ripple effect is much lighter: only the area around each click is processed instead of the whole frame, and long recordings no longer scan every mouse event on each frame. Duplicate click events are merged.
• Fixed playback stopping at the end of a source clip while the edited timeline continues.
• Perspective transitions progress correctly when playback crosses a clip boundary.

🗂️ Your recordings have a home

Creavit Studio now opens in Base, a dedicated library for finding your work and starting the next recording. Returning from the editor brings you back to the library.

• Organize by project — create named projects, move recordings between them and save new recordings directly into the selected project. Removing a project keeps its recordings in All projects.
• Keep favorites close — star recordings and find them together in Favorites.
• Browse your way — switch between cards and lists, group by date, search by name, and sort by last edit, creation date, name or file size.
• Manage files in place — rename, duplicate, reveal in Finder or move a recording to the Trash from its menu.
• Start from one button — Record opens the recorder; the arrow beside it offers Open project, Create from video, Blank editor and Motion Studio.
• Available updates appear in the sidebar with download progress and an explicit install-and-restart action.

☁️ Export straight to your Google Drive

Connect your own Google account from Settings → Upload, the library's Google Drive tab or the export window. Choose a destination folder once and reuse it for later exports.

• Upload the finished export automatically while keeping a local copy.
• Follow upload progress, cancel a transfer or retry without rendering the video again.
• Browse Drive folders from Base with search, sorting, cards, lists and date groups. Open a file in Google Drive in your browser.
• Change the destination, switch accounts or disconnect from the same shared connection controls.

Drive browsing opens remote files in the browser; local `.crvt` projects continue to open in the editor. Uploading does not automatically make a file public.

🎛️ Choose where your recorder lives

The new setup experience lets you choose Notch or Floating toolbar, then pick a Light or Dark appearance. Live previews show the recorder and editor before you finish setup, and both choices remain available in Settings.

• Keep the recorder tucked at the top of the screen or drag the floating toolbar to a comfortable position.
• See clearer preparation feedback before the recorder is ready.
• Keep pause, stop and elapsed-time controls together during a recording.
• Use the desktop iPhone preview to follow the connected device while preparing and recording.

🎞️ GIFs and transparent exports

Export short demos and looping clips as GIF, with size choices from 360p to 720p. GIF-specific controls keep the selected dimensions and frame rate appropriate for the format.

Choose None in Background → Custom to remove the canvas background. The editor displays a checkerboard preview and offers formats that preserve transparency:

• MOV with ProRes 4444 for further editing and compositing.
• WebM with VP9 alpha for compatible web players.
• GIF for simple transparent loops. GIF uses fully opaque or fully transparent pixels, so it cannot preserve soft, partially transparent edges.

🎥 Build a shot with Perspective presets

The Perspective panel now groups ready-made shots into Close-ups, Reveals, Pans and Statics. Choose a preset to apply its framing and motion, preview it, then fine-tune the angle and composition below.

• Browse visual preset tiles instead of building every move from scratch.
• Apply the start and end poses together for animated shots.
• Remove a preset to return to the default perspective.
• Add camera layouts and device mockup layouts directly from their settings panels at the playhead, with clearer feedback when a layout already occupies that range.

✨ A more consistent workspace

• Base, recorder controls, setup screens and editor popovers receive more consistent Light and Dark styling.
• Timeline cuts and gap-closing transitions are easier to follow.
• Timeline keyboard actions better respect text fields and active editing controls.

⏸️ Pause and resume a recording

You can now pause an active recording and continue when you are ready. The recording overlay keeps the control close at hand and clearly shows whether the take is running or paused.

• Pause for interruptions, setup changes or a moment to collect your thoughts.
• Resume into the same take instead of stitching separate recordings together.
• Keep screen, camera, microphone, system audio, cursor and keyboard data on the same timeline.
• Leave paused time out of the finished recording so the edit starts clean.

💬 Choose how subtitles are generated

Subtitle generation now offers three on-device Whisper models, so you can pick the balance of speed, download size and accuracy that suits the project.

• Fast creates quick drafts with the smallest download.
• Balanced is the recommended default for everyday work.
• Accurate uses the larger model when transcription quality matters most.
• Download progress, model size and ready status are visible before you start.
• Models are downloaded once and reused locally; incomplete cache files are detected and repaired automatically.

The selected model and spoken language are remembered for the next project, while generated captions still open directly in the Edit workflow.

🔑 License management in Settings

The new License section brings activation and device management into Creavit Studio Settings.

• Activate Creavit Studio without leaving the app.
• See the active plan, validity and device usage at a glance.
• Refresh verification details whenever you need them.
• Deactivate the current Mac when moving a license to another device.

🎛️ A workspace that stays out of the way

• The settings panel control now lives beside the panel edge and follows it when you switch between the left and right sides.
• One compact menu handles Left side, Right side and Hide. When the panel is hidden, the same control brings it straight back.

Cut pauses, refine dialogue and keep every layer in sync. Version 3.5.0 adds a new audio editing workflow, transcript-driven timeline actions and ripple deletion that closes gaps without leaving the rest of the edit behind.

🎧 Edit Audio, your way

Open Edit Audio from a clip and switch between Auto and Manual without leaving the editor.

• Find silence automatically — Creavit Studio analyzes the clip waveform and presents quiet regions for review. Choose a sensitivity preset and adjust minimum silence, retained padding and tiny-gap joining.
• Tune while you listen — changing an Auto control refreshes the results automatically. Preview each region, exclude the pauses you want to keep, then mute or remove the remaining selections together.
• Select precisely by waveform — in Manual mode, drag across the waveform, resize either edge and preview the exact range before making a change.
• Choose the right edit — mute or unmute a selection, split at its edges, or remove it from the timeline.
• Stay in context — audio selections appear directly on the timeline and opening an audio range from the timeline returns to the Auto workflow.

✍️ Edit video from the transcript

The transcript is now an editing surface, not just a caption list. Select text or click a phrase to reveal controls for the matching video range.

• Preview, mute, split or delete the selected spoken section.
• Refine selection boundaries with editable In and Out times.
• Follow the active selection with clearer primary-color highlighting and a visible text caret.
• Move between transcript and timeline selections without losing the range you are working on.

✂️ Ripple deletion that keeps the edit together

Removing a clip or transcript selection now closes the resulting timeline gap. Following clips move into place while their original media coordinates remain intact.

Creavit Studio also reconciles timed content across the edit: captions, zooms, layouts, perspective, titles, Blur overlays, cursor actions, motion, steps, sound effects and other overlays stay aligned after one or multiple ranges are removed. A short cut-and-collapse animation makes the change easy to follow.

• More room by default — the timeline opens in its full-width layout.
• Visibility and order together — the timeline popover now groups track visibility and ordering controls in one clearly named place.

The new Hand & motion panel adds a locally rendered hand to iPhone recordings. The phone and hand remain separate 3D layers, so the recording stays sharp while fingers wrap naturally around the device. • Choose the grip — use a left- or right-hand composition without changing the source recording.

☝️ Finger motion, authored on the timeline

Add taps and swipes, choose their start time and duration, and position them in the reachable area of the screen. The thumb approaches the glass, performs the motion once, then returns to its grip. Hold still pauses motion without removing the sequence; Preview plays the hand without moving the project playhead.

Finger motion is evaluated directly from timeline time. Preview, scrubbing and export therefore show the same pose, and the hand remains stable when a project is reopened. The device and hand also keep their own depth, so the thumb can pass over the screen while the supporting fingers remain behind the phone.

🎥 Built for camera and 3D compositions

Combine the iPhone with a camera layer, Zoom and Perspective to move from a clean product shot to a close cinematic angle. The hand follows the phone's transform while the camera layer keeps its layout and depth order.

Perspective works across the whole composition: the real 3D device, screen, hand, nails and contact shadows rotate together. The phone remains readable through close passes and returns to its authored framing after the movement.

🌓 Light, dark, or automatic

• Choose your appearance — use Light, Dark or Automatic from Settings. Automatic follows the Mac appearance, and open Video and Motion editors update without restarting.
• A coordinated light interface — editor panels, menus, crop and export dialogs, permission prompts, controls and icons now support light mode.
• Your work keeps its colors — changing the interface theme does not alter project colors or exported video. Motion's default workspace adapts to the theme while custom workspace colors remain untouched.

Zoom Motion

• Move while you zoom — Manual Zoom now has Static and Motion modes. Motion lets the zoom travel from a Start point to a Target point instead of holding on one fixed origin.
• A different scale at each end — Start and Target can each have their own zoom level. When no point-specific value is set, the segment inherits the shared Zoom level.
• Choose how long the move takes — Motion duration is independent from the full zoom segment, so the camera can finish its move and remain settled for the rest of the segment.
• Use the space outside the video — the position pad now reaches far beyond the video bounds. You can push the video partly or completely out of frame and deliberately leave empty canvas in view.

Multi-select on the timeline

• Move several clips together — select multiple video clips and drag them as a group while their spacing is preserved.
• Select multiple items in one row — zooms, perspective moves, masks, titles, shortcuts, code snippets, GIFs, sounds and other timeline items can be selected together and moved in one operation.
• Group media overlays — images and GIF overlays can be selected and repositioned together.
• Safe group movement — grouped items respect timeline bounds and nearby unselected segments, preventing accidental overlap or negative start times.

Drop media straight into the editor

• Drag from Finder — drop common image, GIF and video formats directly into Creavit Studio.
• Drop where you need it — visual media can become canvas overlays, while video can be inserted at the intended timeline position. Existing clip timing is adjusted around the insertion.
• Clearer feedback — unsupported or empty files are rejected cleanly instead of creating broken timeline items.

• Drag beyond the visible timeline — the timeline now auto-scrolls while you drag near either edge, making long moves possible without stopping.

• Your recording, running on a real phone — put the video inside an actual 3D iPhone model instead of a flat frame. The screen content is mapped onto the model, so it catches the light and the angle like the real thing.
• Every generation from iPhone 11 to iPhone 17 — Pro, Pro Max, Plus, mini, Air and the e models, in the finishes you'd expect.
• 2D or 3D, your call — a simple switch in the mockup settings. The flat SVG frames you already had are still there when you want something cleaner.

• Plays well with perspective — the mockup stays with the video through 3D perspective moves instead of flattening out.

A completely rebuilt picker for screens, windows and areas

All three selection overlays were rewritten from scratch and now share one design language and one set of shortcuts.

• Window selection — hover a window and it's washed in blue, with a badge in the middle showing the app icon, the window name and its size. Click to record. Empty desktop tells you there's nothing to pick.
• Screen selection — the display under your cursor lights up as a whole, with its name, resolution and a Main display marker.
• Area selection — a pixel magnifier so you can land the edge exactly where you want it, ready-made size presets, an aspect ratio menu, and live width and height boxes you can type into.
• Keyboard everywhere — arrow keys nudge by 1px (hold Shift for 10), ⌥ + arrows resize, Tab and the arrow keys cycle between windows and displays, Enter starts recording, Esc backs out.
• Opens instantly — the overlay no longer waits on anything to boot.

Zoom transition easing

• Choose how a zoom moves — every zoom segment now has its own easing: Natural, Ease in, Ease out, Smooth, Balanced or Linear.
• Or draw your own — a custom cubic-bezier curve if none of the presets is quite it.
• Same in preview and export — the curve you see while scrubbing is the curve that gets written to the file.

Editor

• Settings panels come alive — switching tabs in the settings panel now cascades the sections in instead of swapping them out flatly. The same motion runs inside the panels that have their own tabs, like perspective and zoom.

Performance & disk

• A faster editor — canvas rendering, the timeline and the export panels were reworked to do less work per frame.
• The app stops filling your disk — the project media cache is now cleaned up automatically on a 14-day, 20 GB budget. It had no limit before and could grow into tens of gigabytes without you ever seeing it.

The agent

• More it can do for you — new canvas and timeline actions, so the agent can reach further into the editor from the chat panel or any MCP tool.

AI agent chat panel

• Let an agent do the editing — a new Agent panel (⌘I) sits next to your timeline. Ask for what you want in plain language and it does the work in the open project.
• Works with the CLI you already use — pick Claude Code or Codex, choose the model and how hard it should think, all from the panel. The agent runs locally on your Mac under your own CLI account — your video files stay on your machine, and only what the agent sends goes to whichever model provider that CLI is already signed in to.
• Nothing to install or configure — the agent connection ships inside the app and runs on the app's own runtime, so you don't need a separate Node.js setup. A setup hint walks you through it if a CLI is missing.
• Prompt ideas when you're stuck — every chat opens with its own set of suggestions drawn from a pool of 50, so you can see what the agent can do.
• Chats are remembered — conversations are kept per project, in tabs.
• Put the panel on either side — the agent panel can live on the right or the left; ⌘⇧D moves it across and your choice is remembered. The same panel opens in Motion Studio.
• See what the agent is doing — while the agent works on your project, a live overlay appears over the editor and clears itself when the work is done.

Creavit MCP — the whole app, driveable by an agent

Under the hood the panel talks to Creavit Studio through MCP (Model Context Protocol), and the app exposes nearly a hundred typed actions over it. That means the agent isn't limited to a few canned tricks — it can genuinely operate the app. The same connection works from any MCP-capable tool on your Mac, not just the built-in panel.

Record for me

• "Record this website" — give it a URL and it opens the page in a clean, frameless capture window at the aspect ratio you want (16:9, 9:16, 1:1 …), waits for the page to actually finish loading, then records a walkthrough: scrolling, clicking, hovering, typing, pausing on the parts that matter. It moves the real macOS mouse, so you get Creavit's native cursor data — smooth cursor motion and automatic click zooms, exactly as if you had done it by hand. It can then save the project, export it and open the finished video, all from one request.
• "Record this window" or "record my screen" — the agent can list your displays, windows and capture devices, check macOS permissions, pick the source, decide whether the camera, microphone and system audio are on, and start and stop the recording. Area recordings take exact coordinates.
• "Record me clicking through this app" — a walkthrough recording runs the whole interaction in a single step, so the video is exactly as long as the steps take, with no dead time from the agent thinking between clicks.

Edit for me

• Zooms, perspective and masks — add, update, list or remove zoom segments, 3D perspective moves and sensitive-content masks anywhere on the timeline.
• Look and feel — set the background, pick a wallpaper from the library, change camera settings (including turning camera background removal on and off — the same switch as the settings panel), adjust audio, or read and write any player setting.
• Reframe it — ask to "make it vertical" or "get it ready for mobile" and one call changes the aspect ratio, refits padding and radius so the content stays as large as possible, enlarges the camera and anchors it bottom-center so it reads on a narrow frame, and scales the cursor. Your existing zooms are left untouched.
• Ready-made perspective poses — the agent no longer guesses raw angles; it picks a balanced pose (`desk`, `hero`, `iso-left`, `float-right` …), sets how strong it should be, and points at the spot on the canvas it should focus on.
• Timeline and playback — inspect or replace segments, seek, play and pause, grab a screenshot or a single video frame to check the result, and undo or redo.
• Projects — list, open, save, summarize and reveal your projects.
• Export — start an export with the resolution, frame rate and quality you asked for, in the background, and get told when it's done.
• Motion Studio too — open scenes, add and arrange elements, build and edit animations, use templates and presets, and export the result.

Nothing is off limits — if a request needs something the typed actions don't cover, the agent can ask the app for its full command list and call it directly, so the panel keeps up with the app instead of lagging behind it.

Sensitive content masks

• Hide anything you don't want on screen — draw a region over a password, an email address or a customer name and mask it with Blur, Pixel or a Solid color.
• The mask stays put — regions are anchored to the video itself, so they follow along through zooms and 3D perspective moves instead of drifting.
• Timeline control — each mask gets its own timeline row you can move, trim or delete, so you can reveal something later in the recording.
• Tune the look — intensity, corner radius and solid color are all adjustable.

New video effects

• Effects section — Blur, Pixelate and Dither now live together at the bottom of the video settings.
• Pixelate — choose Pixel for clean blocks or CRT for the retro tube look, with Density, Intensity and Sharpness dials. Pixels are anchored to the content, so they grow and shrink with your zooms.
• Dither — a new retro/print-style effect with Intensity, Color levels and Pattern size.

Perspective transitions

• Angle to angle, smoothly — perspective (3D) segments now blend into each other and back to flat instead of snapping, with easing options and depth settings you control.
• Pick the start and target point while you can see it — the preview for the origin points now jumps to the moment the transition has finished, so you set the pivot on the tilted image instead of on a flat canvas.

Subtitles on the canvas

• Place them anywhere — subtitles render on the top layer and can be dragged straight on the canvas; click one to jump to its style settings.
• Tied to your steps — subtitles follow the step they belong to, and their position is saved with the project.

Export

• Pick your output resolution — export at 720p, 1080p, 2K or 4K. The size shown in the export window is exactly what gets written to the file.

Timeline & editor

• New Add menu — one place to add zooms, perspective moves, masks and more to your timeline. Perspective, sensitive content and code snippets are now added with a single click instead of opening a submenu.
• Sync zooms with a clip — a Sync zooms switch in the clip popover keeps zooms locked to their clip when you move or trim it.

Recording

• Clearer start — the recording island now shows a proper starting state and countdown, plus a live timer while you record.
