iPhone Screen Recorder for Mac

Record a connected iPhone straight from your Mac — with the phone's own audio — then frame it in a 2D or 3D device, add a hand that taps and swipes, and finish the demo in the same app.

  • Native macOS app
  • 5 free exports
  • Up to 4K

The hand is part of the editor

Turn the hand mockup on and the recording is held on screen — grip, skin tone, and timed taps and swipes, all rendered locally on your Mac.

From cable to finished demo

Capture, framing, motion, and export live in one macOS app. No phone app, no AirPlay session, no import step.

01

Plug in and pick iPhone

Connect the phone with a data-capable cable, tap Trust, and choose iPhone on the recorder. There is no companion app to install on the device.

02

The phone's own audio

App and game sound are captured with the video, so taps, alerts, and in-app audio land in the timeline instead of being re-added later.

03

2D frames and real 3D models

Drop the capture into a clean 2D iPhone frame for interface work, or a lit 3D model when the video needs to look like a product film.

04

A hand that taps and swipes

Add a rendered hand, pick the grip and skin tone, then place taps and swipes on the timeline so gestures match what the screen is doing.

05

Perspective and zoom motion

Tilt the device through 3D space and move the frame toward the part of the interface that matters, without leaving the editor.

06

Camera, subtitles, and export

Keep a presenter layer, generate captions, and export up to 4K from the same project that started as a phone recording.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about recording an iPhone screen on a Mac.

Do I need an app on the iPhone?

No. The phone is recorded over USB as a capture source. Connect it with a data-capable cable, unlock it, tap Trust, and select iPhone in Creavit Studio.

Is the iPhone's sound recorded too?

Yes. App and game audio from the phone is captured with the video. Your Mac microphone can stay in the take as a separate narration layer.

Why does my iPhone not show up as a source?

The usual cause is a charging-only cable, a locked phone, or a Trust prompt that was dismissed. Unlock the phone, reconnect, and accept the prompt — then try another cable or port if it still does not appear.

Can I put the recording inside an iPhone mockup?

Yes. The capture can sit in a clean 2D frame or a lit 3D model, with the background, padding, and corner treatment set in the editor.

How does the hand mockup work?

Turn on the hand in the iPhone settings tab, choose the holding hand and skin tone, then add taps and swipes at the moments you want them. The hand is rendered locally alongside the recording.

What resolution can I export?

Projects export up to 4K on your Mac. Exports run locally, so the recording does not need to be uploaded anywhere to be rendered.
